Introduction to the New Engineering Education Method Experiment and Construction (NEEMEC) Project
The College of Engineering at I-Shou University aims to fulfill its educational mission of "cultivating engineering talents with technological application skills, interdisciplinary innovation, sustainability concepts, and ethical literacy." The College participates in the Ministry of Education's Department of Information and Technology Education initiative, the "New Engineering Education Method Experiment and Construction (NEEMEC) Project - Type C" (2023–2027). The College is one of the five participating universities and the only representative from southern Taiwan.

In line with the Program's core theme, "Sustainable Engineering Design and Practice," the College has established four "Zero Carbon Wards" as venues for showcasing and implementing students' practical results. These spaces provide hands-on opportunities to integrate sustainability concepts into engineering practices.
